The view from Hotel Villa Luisa is defined by the imposing Rocca di Manerba, the high cliff that stands out over the blue of the lake, where is it possible to discover the natural park which surrounds it. At its base lies the island of San Biagio, also known as the “rabbit island”, which can also be reached by foot from Manerba del Garda, for an afternoon of sun and nature. Just off the land belonging to San Felice del Benaco, can be found the famous Isola del Garda, the largest island of the lake, a place of rare beauty and nature with its splendid palace and fascinating gardens, open to the public only by guided tours.
Moving northwards, Toscolano Maderno invites you to discover the stunning Valle delle cartiere, once upon a time it was the centre of the paper mill industry, and today is a paradise for both more experienced and beginner hikers who can uncover this beautiful area along the nature trails.
Even further north are the smaller towns of northern Lake Garda, tucked between the high cliffs and rocks which mark the beginning of the Alps, and among the irregular forms of olives and lemon houses, you can find the lakeside towns of Gargnano, Campione, Limone all the way up to Riva del Garda, the surfers paradise. These cliffs present the perfect opportunity for outdoor excursions, for example along the Eremo di San Valentino, Cimarest, and the mountain lodges of Monte Spino and Pizzoccolo. Any water sports lover cannot miss the chance to spend the day sailing on the lake, or experience the thrill of diving in our marvellous lake!
