Cities of Art
Essences of culture and traditions

Antique art, the rustic culture and the splendid Villas can all be found along the Brescian Riviera, as well as the combination of Mediterranean settings and birds eye landscapes. In the south you can find Sirmione, with its characteristic historical town centre which holds the remains of a roman villa, better known as the "Grotte di Catullo", along with one of the most breathtaking northern Italian castles which dates back to the XIII century.

Another Roman villa and another towering castle can be found in the neighbouring town of Desenzano del Garda, and many small villages can be found within the walls of medieval castles, like the towns ofMalcesine, Padenghe, Moniga and Lonato, where one can also admire the " House of the Podestà" belonging to the Ugo da Como, Foundation, an classic example of a manor/museum on Lake Garda.

Travelling towards the north you will come across the town of Salò, with its Liberty style villas, witnesses of the last dramatic moments of the Italian fascist regime. Not far from here is the small town of Gardone Riviera, well know for the “Vittoriale degli Italiani”, the structural monument for and by the famous poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, where today lies an open-air amphitheatre where during the summer musical and dance festivals take place.

The position of Lake Garda allows guests to visit the major cities of art such as Verona, where in the summer, in the prestigious setting of the roman Arena, it is possible to enjoy the a classical opera, with beautiful scenery and magnificent singers.
